UMass Students Twitter Presidential Debate and Experiment Takes Off

So, what began as an experiment with four journalism classes took off a bit last night as UMass journalism students twittered the second presidential debate. The participation got to such high levels that the #umassprez2 feed became one of Twitters “hot topics,” drawing in a much larger audience.

And, in an interesting twist, part of that audience included representatives of both the Obama and McCain campaigns, who have been spamming the list with their perspectives since last night.

Check out the feed here.

Interesting stuff.
