Media Giraffe Project Looking for Interns

The Media Giraffe Project is looking for students interested in internships or volunteer work in profile writing.

The Media Giraffe Project is a non-partisan, interdisciplinary research initiative housed with the Journalism program  at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The Project profiles individuals who are making innovative, sustainable use of media to foster participatory democracy and community.

Volunteers and interns would be profile writing, including web-based research on, and phone interviews with a specific individual. One and two credit internships available.

If you’re interested, come to an informational meeting on Monday, September 8 at 7:00 pm, in the Campus Center (Room 174/176). We’ll discuss the origins of the project more, and go into more detail about work opportunities.

For more information, contact Elizabeth Hawley, undergraduate intern coordinator for the Media Giraffe Project at ehawley@mediagiraffe.org.
